There you are a little child
runnin free runnin wild
Had no cares to say the least
as your mom struggled
to find you a plate to eat.
Times were hard and times were tough
as she hung her head in despair
when there wasnt quite enough.
You lived in the car and went from
here to there
with hardly anything to wear.
She cried to GOD and asked for help
prayed day after day and often wept.
Saw her son growing up and he got a job
to help put food on the table and carry on
the stress which was alot.
Too many times you were frustrated to no end
trying to make ends meet
broken hopes to mend.
You didnt give up no you could'nt thats for sure
for you had a family to support cus your dad
left you alone to endure.
There you are my dear chris
look at you now you overcame
all of this.
A true man this you proved
even though back then all around
you moved.
You are helping others as I hope you see
this includes the hurt child in me.
An inspiration you are to many
alot of love in others as well
there are plenty.
