My story starts outlike any other fans. I was hanging out on in Times Square for TRL on 10/25/99 (I was a regular in the crowd for about 2 years) and Chis and Joey were hosting the show that day (in their PJs lol). It was right after Chris's birthday. As usual I started talking to the girls around me and making friends with my fellow *NSYNC fans. (I actually got on camera for a brief second with my sign.) One of the girls said she was pretty sure she knew what hotel they were staying at, so right after the show, we headed over and kept our fingers crossed.
My patience paid off...not once but twice that night. I got to meet both Joey AND Chris.

Joey was the first to come downstairs. I have no idea how we were able to just walk into the lobby but we did and he was so sweet! I was all nervous and couldn't find the page with his pic in my tour book and he took it from me and found it. Then I took a picture with him..but just my luck the flash didn't go off so the pic didn't come out.

I met Chris a short time later when he was coming out of the hotel on his way out to dinner. I remember being so nervous. I waited my turn and he was so sweet. He took the tour book from me and made fun of his picture. "Who's this kid? I used ot know him" (He'd only recently lost those now infamous braids). I laughed and it was so cool how he made me feel comfortable. I di get my picture taken with Chris. (I'll scan it sometime and send it for the site.) I remember thinking Oh My God! I am standing here with Chris Kirkpatrick! How my knees didn't give out I will never know. (On a side note, the day NSA came out: 3-21-00, I had a friend who got into the signing at the Virgin Megastore and she gave Chris a copy of the pic...and to it he responded "Aww, she's cute!" I thought I'd die...particularly becasue I look all goofy you know that ridiculous grin you get when you 're standign there in disbelief but so unbelieveably happy at the same time? That was me. But the fact that he said that made me love him even more.)

After I took the picure with him his people were fighting the crowd to get him out of there and I remebered I had a birthday gift for Chris with me "just in case". As they were leading him away I called out ot him ,"Chris!" He stopped and turned around and I had to strain to reach him over averyone. I haned him the gift...(it was a small stuffed animal wrapped in green gift wrap with football haemets printed on it) and asid , "Happy Birthday!" I managed to touch his hand...I was hoping for a hug, but his people were pulling him away or I think he'd have given me one.

We decided to wait around for a bit and see if there was any more acticity. Realizing there were 2 doors to the hotel and we waited around and caught Joey coming out the back. He had a cold...poor guy and was trying not to give it to anyone, but that didn't stop me and my friends from hugging him...he was so sweet. (Everyone who's been lucky enough to meet the guys is right--*NSYNC hugs are the best!) I hugged him and told him to"feel better" and he said, "thank you sweetie". Then he left with one of their bodyguards...I think he was on the way to the doctor.

I remember on the train ride home feeling like I was floating on air...it just didn't feel real. When I got the picture developed it helped alot! Chris you are a sweetie! Don't ever change.
