Nikki: First of all, there's so much talk about this tour being different from the other tour, no pyrotechnics, no backup dancers, and they're saying this is the best one, so it must make you feel really good.

Chris: Well we do have some pyrotechnics. I mean, we don't have lasers, we don't have a lot of the stuff we did. I think the big thing is our last tour was the PopOdyssey Tour and it was a huge spectacle because we did all stadiums and it was all about the theatrics, the fireworks, you know, the music.

Nikki: It was very Vegas.

Chris: Exactly. The spectacle of it. And this time, you know, we broke it all down a lot and just kindof sit up there and we want to make it really intimate with the audience and I think with the stage that we designed and the way that we interact the whole time with the audience is very, very interactive.

Nikki: That's cool. You know, you're getting rave reviews about this tour, moreso than the other tours I think, so that must make you feel really good that it's a stripped down thing and it's just there, you guys.

Chris: Well, I mean, we've always been able to do this show. You know, it's just in the past when we did the stadiums and we did the huge venues like that, we had to create something more than just the music. You know, we had to create that big spectacle. And now I think that it's just the bare minimum, people are finally just sittin' back and listening and realizing that we do have a legitimate reason for being where we are in the industry.

Nikki: That's good! So, when this tour is over are you guys gonna make an album? Are you guys gonna chill? What are you gonna do?

Chris: We're taking a little bit of time off as soon as this tour is over and we should have an album done by early next year. (Ed. note: He really emphasized "done")

Nikki: Oh that's good news!

Chris: We'll still be working.

Nikki: So you guys are gonna take some time off and sit home and eat Krispy Kreme and pizza and get fat?

Chris: Exactly, exactly. We already had a lot of that time, so now this is like... we have to go on tour just to slim down again I think.

Nikki: I'm sayin'.. because you guys dancing out there every night, you lose wait so easily... you gonna get fat aren't you, Chris?

Chris: When we go home, we do get fat again, and I'm one of the main characters that gets really... oh I get really fat. But it's alright.

Nikki: So, are you gonna be doing a lot with FuMan Skeeto on your low time?

Chris: Uh, yeah, we got some big stuff planned. We've been working a lot on the business. I actually might take some time off to do some writing too because we've got some other side projects that we're all looking into doing besides for the big side projects that we have. You know, I think we're definitely gonna keep ourselves busy.

Nikki: What are you most looking forward to about finding out about yourself in your spare time? You're gonna have all this spare time, you're gonna get to do new things, explore things that maybe you couldn't have before.

Chris: I think there's two big things that are gonna happen that's gonna be a lot of fun. And one of those things is, first of all we're gonna be able to sit back and realize what we've done, you know, in the last five-six years. And we're gonna have a little break to go 'Oh my gosh, we really did the Grammy Awards,' 'We really won this award,' 'We really performed on this,' 'We got to meet so-and-so,' 'We did the Super Bowl.' You know, there's a lot of stuff, in retrospect, we're gonna sit back and realize how blessed we are and how lucky we are to be doing, but, you know, at the same time, I think, it's going to re-focus us and give us a chance to say 'This is what we've learned and this is where we need to go from here.'

Nikki: How long do you think *NSYNC is gonna keep being this popular? This high of a boyband?

Chris: That? Well that I can't say. I mean, we have nothing to do with _____ (Ed. note: I think he said popular, but I can't tell), you know, we just have to do with the music. It's like this tour, I mean honestly, you said yourself, this tour has been getting bigger reviews than the other tours, but it's smaller. We're doing arenas right now and we're not packing in arenas. We did stadiums that we packed in. So, is it about quality or is it about quantity? And for us, we want to make sure that what we put out from here on out is good quality. And that's the most important thing to us. And no, we're not gonna have all the fans that we have now and hopefully most of them are gonna grow with us, but we know that a lot of them aren't. We know we're gonna have to take on new ones as they come.

Nikki: I'm glad you're looking at this so real. It's really good that you're not trying to go beyond what's expected of you, just go beyond your boundaries.

Chris: A lot of the Behind The Music's, and a lot of the real stories about what really happens... that's why we're all good with our money, we all watch what we do and we all enjoy what we do. You know, we weren't in this to be, you know, to sell out stadiums every tour we go on. We're in this because we love music and we love performing together and we love our jobs, we love having fun. You know, next tour if we go to theaters, let the critics say what they will, but then when they come out to the show and they realize it's an even better show, they'll realize what we're putting the quality into and where we're focusing most of our attention.

Nikki: Thank you Chris, I appreciate your time.

Chris: No problem!
